I am in no way certified in this study, it’s best to read the back of the package and pick what fits the perimeters of your nutritional goals. Please do what you feel is best for your body.
You can use any products this is not brand specific. These were the items for sell in my area that fit the nutritional specs I was searching for the best.
Chocolate
Lindt Excellence 90% Cocoa Supreme Dark Chocolate Bar
Net Carbs: 2
Per Square
First, we start off with 2 chocolate squares.
For this recipe I used the Lindt Supreme Dark Chocolate. I chose to use this one because sometimes the sugar alternatives like Monkfruit, Stevia, ect. can hurt my stomach. This chocolate bar has 2 net carbs per square which is higher in net carbs than other chocolates that have the sugar alcohol that can cancel out the net carbs. You can use other type of chocolate keto bars. There are a ton of options out there that are more carb friendly & keto friendly, like the choczero bars that are keto friendly and sugar free. These are are my favorite.
(No I didn’t get paid to try these but getting paid to rate all the chocolate I eat would be one sweet deal.)
Peanut butter
Santa Cruz Peanut Butter
Net Crabs: 2
Per 2 Tablespoons
Secondly, we have spread the peanut butter on the chocolate squares.
I really have come to love this peanut butter during my keto journey. The Santa Cruz Organic Dark Roasted Peanut butter was the lowest net carb peanut butter that was organic in my area.
At first I did think this peanut butter was higher in net carbs but after some research and entering it into my Keto food Tracker it is only 2 net cards per 2 tablespoons. The way this is calculated is with some simple keto math of carbs minus fiber.
Coconut Flakes
Unsweetened Shredded Coconut – Bob’s Red Mill
Net Carbs: 0.16
-
Next you sprinkle your 2 teaspoons of unsweetened coconut flakes on top of the peanut butter.
Originally I had a bag of coconut flakes that was sweetened and did not have the best went out specifically and bought this brand of coconut shavings
Whipped Cream
Lucerne Whipped Cream, Heavy
Net Carb: 0
Finally, your ready to top off your treat with some whipped cream.
This whipped cream is convenient & easy. Not only for this recipe but to dress up some other keto treats and drinks.
When looking to save on ingredients. You can make your own whipped cream at home by simply putting heavy cream in the blender.
